Voices for Peace

While the internet hosts many angry blogs there are a plethora of voices for Peace and transformation. Here are two I recommend:

Peacequotes@living compassion.org
Tut.com

I don't think you can have too many voices for Peace!

Turn off you TV for Peace!

John Lennon said, "If everyone demanded Peace instead of a television set, then there'd be Peace".

I say, "If everyone focused on Peace as much as they do their TV set, then they'd have Peace".

You could do both you know!

Sacred or Scared?

It's amazing the difference two letters make: reverse the 'a' and the 'c' in Scared and you get Sacred!

It's like that in real life too; when you are scared YOU CAN shift your focus from fear to love as quickly as you can reverse two letters. You can move from seeing only what's scarey to seeing the sacred in any moment.

All you have to do is practice.

Yep, that's all!

Be a loving container......

To have Peace, be the loving container for your life!

How? Practice seeing the gift in EVERYTHING that has ever happened. EVERYTHING!

When you can reflect on it all with love, then you have become the loving container......the anxious rattle subsides and space and time expand.

Cool, huh?

When I am afraid I am not enough
I over function (do too much) to prove I am enough.
When I over function I get resentful.
When I get resentful I feel isolated and unloved.
When I feel isolated and unloved I'm afraid I am not enough.
When I am afraid I am not enough
I over function to prove I am enough.

Viscous circle!

Create Peace instead: Resist the temptation to over function. Create space in your schedule and get connected!

Peace is self care................

"Self care is never selfish - it is simply good stewardship of the only gift you have...the gift you were put on earth to offer to others." Parker Palmer

Take exquisite care of yourself today and Peace will arrive. I promise!

Peace happens when....

......we are "wise enough to see the miraculous in the common" (thanks Thoreau).

Kinda like folks do when they kiss the dirt after surviving a plane crash. 'Cept you don't need to crash to do it!

Peace Practice: Metaphorically kiss the ground today. Several times!
