Silence is Peace

Richard Foster, in his book The Freedom of Simplicity, points out that silence is freeing, freeing us from the need to control. Much of our speech is merely self justification, "a frantic stream of words flows from us in an attempt to straighten other out.......we devour people with out words."

How might you be silent today, letting go of your need to convince or judge? Notice what you are speaking for; notice the motivation underneath the urgency to talk. Then resist the urge to speak from any of these needs.

Allow silence and Peace.

Love,

Darlene
